SEMI AND TOTAL SALT-REMOVAL
Removal of all ions contained in the water by cation exchangers and anion exchangers in a full desalination system and/or a mixed-bed filter.
In the unit for total salt-removal, the water is first conveyed over the cation exchange elements and afterwards over the anion exchange mechanism. In this phase, different methods can be applied, which are dependent on the water quality. Quality attainable after passing the demineralization plant: Remainder conductivity < 2 µS/cm.
In the mixed bed filter, the cation-exchange elements as well as the
anion-exchange elements can be found as a mixture in a filter bed. The
mixed bed exchanger is used for the purification or the final cleansing
of the prepared water. Quality attainable after passing the mixed bed
filter: Remainder conductivity < 0.08 µS/cm.
